This is my honest opinion:
The bottom line on faithfully following Jesus Christ, the Son of God in our region and in the whole country is negatively expressed in the words of the following article authored by the Vineyard Pastor in Cambridge, MA, USA. They are dirty and infected words coming from the Harvard toilet. I find strange why preachers like to be unpleasant sewers instead of being truly Jesus seekers.
"So this might not be for you. While plenty of our congregants very much pursue their convictions on hot-button issues, many longtime churchgoers would regard our public non-posture as a scandalous refusal to “take a stand.”, he says.
I don't take a stand against anything. I like to stand by Jesus. He is still the Lord, True God and Only Savior.
I understand that taking a stand with Jesus is not taking a stand for Him, because He doesn't need that. It means taking a stand for the Truth, for Holiness, for Justice, for Love, etc.
I personally believe I do not have to follow a creed, to sign a Confession of Faith, to uphold a Nicene Creed type because all of those documents are simply the reduction of the Scriptures, a sample of preferential beliefs to try to uniform us, makes all the same and to try to unite us. Doctrine can't united us. As Jesus disciples we are already One in HIM; already if truly we are in Him.
A Confession of Faith is the reduction of God's Word. I dislike them all.
As I read the Gospel seriously I don't understand how someone can honestly say that a "all inclusive" position is the message of Jesus.
Let all sinners come as they are, the old Christian song invite them all. No, don't come to Jesus as you are. Definitely not! You leave your sins and your old life behind you, then you turn to the Lord.
"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." (Isaiah 55:6, 7 NIV)
I find disgusting that we still have to discuss and comment such things. The plague of welcoming and affirming "trash-theology" is still infecting good people that are not willing to loose anything for the sake of the Lord. Why? Usually they have too much to loose if they choose to be faithfull to the Lord Jesus.
Instead they advocate: "Let us find common ground to start our reconciliation process! Let us see in what we can agree and we will leave our differences. Raise a white flag and let us march all together."
The common ground for Jesus is Holiness and Love. Love without Holiness is human excrement with Lysol.
"For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.
And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:14, 15, 17-21 NIV)"
I find distressful the fact that preachers like Dave Schmelzer, the lead pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Greater Boston and the executive director of Blue Ocean Faith can send equally more people to hell like any Mormon preacher, just to give an example.
I don't know if it is worth to try to persuade this kind of "sugar-made" preachers. They want to sail the blue calm ocean with no storms, no sharks and enjoy the cruise to nowhere.
Jesus didn't come to offer anything. Are you stupid enough to ignore that He died on the cross and He rose from the grave because He is the Way, the Truth and The Life? That you can't have anything from Him if you do not repent, abandon completely your sinful life and follow HIM 100%, totally, completely while you claim His blood to purify you of all sins?
We are seeing respected pastors from all streams of Christianity: Baptists, Pentecostals, Presbyterians, Assemblies of God, etc signing documents to pursue common faith with Muslims, Buddhists, with Mitt Romney's Mormonism that was baptized as a Sound Doctrine cult by Billy Graham Association during the last Presidential Campaign, Romanism full of grace and salvation by works, Rev. Moon's sect with his millionarie gifts to pastors everywhere, etc. I wish these reconciliation encounters should be jokes, but they are not.
Where are those 7000 who did not bow to the Baal of all religions? Should we get distressed if we are called radical, extremists, fundamentalists and haters? Jesus Christ was not playing when He demonstrated His Love dying on the Cross. Millions of Jesus disciples have died on history as martyrs because they refused to tolerate much less of what we see today of apostasy and abomination from those who were suppose to live and preach faithfully the Truth.
We are seeing a Joel Osteen type preachers generation arise that can pray at a Lesbian Mayor inauguration with the same enthusiasm they talk about love, joy, peace, everybody on board in our train to nirvana. Shame on them all! Don't call yourselves preachers of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Your gospel is anathema, cursed and inspired by doctrines of demons. You reject the Christian Doctrines to follow hell's doctrines.
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-10)"
Jesus Christ died on the cross because of our heterosexual, homosexual immoral and abominable sins, our disgraceful hearts full of hate, love of money, envy, you name it, each and all sins that make all of us fall short from the Glory of the Loving Father, Creator of all and everything. Until God makes us Righteous, Holy and gives us the power to become His Sons, like Jesus, we are lost, desperate and condemned as never before.
It is disgraceful to watch preachers who started well, but for any reason are now ingurgitating the apostasy spread from hell to this religious poisonous breed of Christianity.
Lord Jesus, have mercy on me!
