WHAT TO EXPECT OF A MAN Dr Josimar Salum

WHAT TO EXPECT OF A MAN

Dr Josimar Salum

When we become a man we talk and act like a man.

When we were kids and/or teenagers we use to say things and do things proper to our age.

When we become men we become very busy with the things of men. This is what it is normally expected.

It is not to make us so adult that we loose our meekness, our humility and the grace of kidding as Jesus once told that in order to enter the Kingdom of God we should become like children.

Jesus referred certainly to children that are without malice or carrying excessive seriousness. Become a man should never mean loosing kindness and lightness.

So as men we should talk about manhood things. When we communicate we will communicate just as men.

We will stop saying ‘hi’ just for saying ‘hi’ or stop saying things meaningless.

We will talk something meaningful to say, which it is not just asking common things but saying things very important that can change our lives or the lives of others.

In other words, BE A MAN! You are about the age of man, stop being immature and childish.

Ask questions like a man, do matter things that have consequences, be mature like a man, serve others like man, and don’t look like you have never grown up.

My friend Paul Taylor, a mighty man of God!

My friend Paul Taylor, Since we have met in 2001 our friendship has grown stronger.

We have traveled continents together, we have visited palaces and shacks, we have flown in big jets and ride in mini cars, we have arrived in remarkable destinations though we have never despised the small beginnings, we have passed through huge highways and have walked on small lines in rural fields. Moreover, we have never forgotten from where we came from, never thought we were on our own and have reached places only because Jesus has sent us forth.

It is a honor to walk by your side, mighty man of God. Your love for people small and great, your meekness and simplicity in all you do and your heart open and wide for Truth are inspiration for me and fill my heart with contentment.

This morning, first day at home, after arriving together from the glorious nation of Madagascar I have prayed for you, your children, for that mighty baby of God called Caleb, have read this morning the Bible and found what, it talks about you:

“Paul, you who fear GOD, how blessed you are! how happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you’ve got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Revel in the goodness!

Your wife Karen have bear children as a vine bears grapes, your household lush as a vineyard, The children around your table including your sons and daughters in law (they became also your children) as fresh and promising as young olive shoots. Stand in awe of God’s Yes. Oh, how he blesses you, Paul, the one who fears GOD!

Enjoy the good life in your Jerusalem every day of your life. And enjoy your grandchildren. Peace to Israel!”
Psalm 128:1-6 MSG
