Was Mary Magdalene a prostitute?

We learned so many things and repeated them that were never based on the Bible. Mary Magdalene, for example, was never a prostitute.
There is no reference in the Bible that states this. According to the Bible she was delivered from seven demons (Mark 16: 9; Luke 8: 2), stood at the foot of the cross (Matthew 27: 55-56; John 19:25) and was the first to see the risen Jesus ( Mark 16: 1-11).
She earned this title in the 6th century during a sermon by Pope Gregory the Great.
And today the pope's followers repeat this myth.
We need to review concepts and values. We need to go back to the Word, because there are so many beliefs that evangelicals need to give up, but so many.
