DOES GOD LOVE MEN UNCONDITIONALLY?

DOES GOD LOVE MEN UNCONDITIONALLY?

Josimar Salum

God loves us! Honestly, I think it means that He loved us first while we were sinners, but it does not mean that He will continue to love us if we do not love Him. His love is not an unconditional Love. Unconditional means that it is not subject to any conditions. Because God always expects us to love Him.

“I love those who love me, and those who diligently seek me will find me.” Proverbs 8:17

“For when we were still helpless, at just the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. We love Him because He first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For whoever does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: That he who loves God must love his brother also.” 1 John 4:16, 19-21

It is also true that God also hates!

“The Lord tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.” Psalm 11:5

“These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” Proverbs 6:16-19

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Lord.” only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16, 18

“Or do you despise the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance? Yet because of your unrepentant and stubborn heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. There will be suffering and anguish for every human being who does evil….” Romans 2:4-5, 7, 9

““For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14-15

2024: A NEW TIME TO LOVE AND SERVE; TIME OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, AND TIME TO NOT GIVE UP.

2024: A NEW TIME TO LOVE AND SERVE; TIME OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, AND TIME TO NOT GIVE UP.

   Worcester, December 31st, 2023

Thinking and meditating upon 2024 I have been overtaken by a strong feeling of humbling that it will be a year of many battles and challenges, of more intense tribulations than those we faced during the COVID years and even tougher situations socially, politically and economically.

In the personal scope of 2024, those who will prevail are the ones that will face this new time as a means to love and serve. Love and serve your spouse, your family, your friends, your community, in your marketplace, in your school, in your church and in your country.

In 2024 the times of judgement that will come upon the Earth, especially upon Brazil, the United States and the nations will be overcome by the Love of God upon everything. Therefore contradicting myself I await a time of redemption and not judgement; a time to see God working and not the advancements of evil. And I will prophesy although being a Voice  in the desert that the Kingdom of God has come!

The keyword that echoes in my heart is ‘repentance’:

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)

In 2024 there will be no message that will bring alignment other than: “Repent!”

2024 will be a time to witness the impossible in your health, in your finances, in your family, in your company, in your city, and in your nation.

In the political matters of 2024 we will contemplate many surprising interventions by God. A revelation of the living Christ will pulverize the false expectations of an antichrist.

What seemed unlikely and impossible the Arm of the Lord will make true and we will see many leaders giving Glory to God, recognizing that who did what was done is the Lord of Hosts that is as well the Shepherd of our hearts.

2024 will finally be a time to not give up, as much as the burden might seem unbearable the Spirit of Strength and Courage will be poured upon millions and millions of hearts. While wounds and burdens will be upon many, the resilience of the Spirit of Christ added to a work of compassion that will culminate in the succumbing of the powerful wicked without any explanation.

Therefore my heart rejoices! 2024 comes emerging as a Time to Love, Time of the Impossible and Time to never Give Up! It is a desire to prevail in prayer with God who has compassion on His children.

A BALLOON FOR EVERY STUDENT

A BALLOON FOR EVERY STUDENT

A teacher gave a balloon to each student, who had to inflate it, write their name and throw it in the school’s corridor.

The teacher then mixed up all the balloons.

Students had 5 minutes to find their own balloon.

Despite a frantic search, no one found the balloon.

At that moment, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon they found and give it to the person whose name was written on it.

Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.

The teacher told the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find them if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about the happiness of others, we will find ours too."

May your day be filled with happiness.

WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO SAY ABOUT THE LOVE THAT COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS. Josimar Salum

WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO SAY ABOUT THE LOVE THAT COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS. Josimar Salum

The saved community is merciful, more forgiving than condemning, and exceptionally welcoming.

“If your brother sins, go and point out his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won him over." Matthew 18:15

This is the purpose for you to seek out your brother who has sinned against you, so that you may win your brother.

In what context did Jesus say these words?

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:10‭-‬14

“My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." James 5:19‭-‬20

The Father's heart means to convert those who have strayed from the truth.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1‭, ‬3‭-‬4

When an presbyter sins the Holy Spirit teaches that he is to be rebuked in the presence of all. By who? The presbyters. So that the other presbyters may also have fear. It's not in the presence of everyone, of the church. Any conclusion that leads to saying that it is before the church is not supported by the text. The hermeneutically analyzed text easily determines that these are presbyters and not the whole church.

“The presbyters who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor (double salary), especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.” Do not entertain an accusation against an presbyter unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. But those presbyters who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning." 1 Timothy 5:17‭-‬20

I have watched young men and women being pushed out of the church and I know of many sons and daughters of pastors who have left the Church because of reproofs and harsh disciplines that are not supported by the Bible. Many were disciplined while many wrong behaviors in the church were tolerated. The church became an environment of partiality, hypocrisy and judgment that helped to hurt so many lives that today walk away, because the Love that heals and restores was lacking.

If your son or daughter, if your brother or sister has sinned, has committed what is sinful, he must be treated with great love so that he will come to repent and be forgiven, so that he will be restored.

The willingness of many to deal with the sin of the brethren with severe discipline, without compassion and mercy only adds to the ranks of those who leave the church wounded.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8

What is this love that covers or forgives a multitude of sins?

We sympathize with the wicked, immersed in the vilest behavior and we accept them in the community of saints because they professed Jesus, but we harden with those who are brothers and sisters and treat them with rigor when they commit sins.

At no time should we agree with the sin and error of those who have not repented and do not want to repent. We must not accept into the bosom of the church one who has not heard the admonition and wants to continue on his wrong path.

“If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector." Matthew 18:17

But what scares me is to have seen people like these being disciplined with joy and celebration as if such discipline was an act of purification for God. The Father's heart for those who are lost remains full of mercy and love.

The command of the Holy Spirit is to love one another ardently which will lead us to seek the sinner's restoration and not his condemnation. This love is what covers a multitude of sins.

WHEN LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH. Dr. Josimar Salum

WHEN LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH. Dr. Josimar Salum

“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jeremiah 31:3

How can such a great and deep love not be enough to maintain God's relationship with men? Why do many reject His gift of Love, ignore His mercy and despise His Grace?

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

How is it possible that God proves His love in such an amazing fashion and it is not enough for sinners to come and relate with Him? How can someone loved in this way leave this God to serve another or himself?

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." 2 Corinthians 5:14‭-‬15

Why are most people not compelled? Why do many with the knowledge that Jesus died and rose for all, continue to live for themselves and do not live for the one who died and rose for them? It is necessary to understand that you live only for him who died for many if you live for others!

"We love him because he loved us first." 1John 4:19

However, why don't many love God even though they understand that God loved them first?

These are difficult and very complicated questions to ask. But they explain why interhuman relationships break up, why lasting friendships end, why marriages of people who "loved" each other since they were young break up after many, many years.

It is because a relationship only exists as a two-way manner,  with heads and tails, with positive and negative poles, as a couple is holding hands together, with mature complicity, loyalty and fidelity.

God loves me, but if I don't love him there is no salvation, no redemption, no relationship. Not for me.

God is faithful and He, at the very least, expects total fidelity, complete loyalty, absolute surrender. His love intensity is only complete if I love him with all my heart, with all my understanding, with all my strength and with all my soul.

There is no walk with God if my affection is shared with another being, object or person.

There are people, considered friends, family members who always receive, but they do not respond with gratitude, nor with sympathy, nor with recognition. There are people who only understand how to take advantage, put themselves first, and satisfy their childish selfishness. They always see what they receive as the obligation of the giver.

Now, a relationship with our Heavenly Father requires gratitude, sympathy, and appreciation. It is certain that God will continue to love always, God yes, but what man or woman has this capacity to love as God loved? And even if you love without reciprocity, how can you maintain a relationship? What if I don't love?

Our relationship with our neighbor mirrors our relationship with God. God loves me, but I don't love him. So there is no relationship. There is a separation. Someone loves me, but I don't. There is also no relationship. There is Love only if it is a relationship of two. I can't even love someone if I don't love myself! There is no lonely love, no one loves alone, not even God!

Jesus said, "Come and follow me," but without my answer, my favorable nod and my objective correspondence to his invitation, there is no relationship. And there will be no relationship if I don't always follow him.

Any relationship based on personal interest, on the gifts or favors that one can receive, on the gifts that can be earned, on the expectations of satisfying desires will always come up against exactly the weakness of this relationship. In plain words, there is no relationship.

In the some marital relationships this happens very clearly. What started in romance, in bonds of commitment, walking together in the sufferings and challenges of living together tends to produce a rupture when exclusive loyalty, mutual loyalty and constant complicity of the two parts fail. And it becomes very serious when it is discovered later that a third party, another attention or another person was involved in this relationship that was to be exclusively for two.

Love is not enough to endure to the end and it is not enough to maintain the relationship when there is no reciprocity.

It is like this with God and men, it is like this between friends, between family members and between a man and a woman.

There is only true and complete Love if it is mutual, in the same intensity. God loves, nothing separates us from His love, except ourselves. In the list of nothing can separates us, in the list, however, I am not mentioned.

If "I don't love God", He having loved me first only contains His love in Himself. It's like taking a shower covered in plastic from head to toe. How will two walk together if they don't agree? If there is no covenant, it is because love is only words.

“My little children, don't love in word, not in language, but in deed and in truth. ” 1 John 3:18

Forgiving will also not be enough to restore these relationships. Forgiving will only benefit those who forgive, perhaps that is why God has already forgiven everyone. But to benefit both you will need real reconciliation! "I beg you to be reconciled to God." And if possible, restitution.

God is able to blindly trust me again. For a man and a woman, trust is not that easy. Only by a restorative action on the part of the Father! Yes, only God can heal and restore! Or start it over again! Yes, perhaps the only way is to start all over again!

CAN AN IDOLATER BE FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? NEITHER CAN HE WHO DOESN'T LOVE HIS BROTHER! By Josimar Salum

CAN AN IDOLATER BE FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? NEITHER CAN HE WHO DOESN'T LOVE HIS BROTHER! By Josimar Salum

Not everything that glitters is gold. Not everything that seems as it is, truly is. Judging a person based on what they say can lead to a huge mistake. Any superficial person will judge everything by appearance. He will never read everything, he will never analyze everything. Said person will rush and draw emotionally immature conclusions.

“Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." James 1:16‭, ‬19‭-‬20

Read this text well! Read it carefully!

"They help each other and say to their companions, “Be strong!” Isaiah 41:6

How many times have I recited this verse at youth meetings. They chose this verse as an theme for young people. One companion encouraging the other to strive to move forward on his journey with Jesus. But that is not what the text says.

“They help each other and say to their companions, “Be strong!”  The metalworker encourages the goldsmith, and the one who smooths with the hammer spurs on the one who strikes the anvil. One says of the welding, “It is good.” The other nails down the idol so it will not topple.  “But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,  I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.  So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:6‭-‬10

“Tell us what the future holds, so we may know that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad, so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.  But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; whoever chooses you is detestable." Isaiah 41:23‭-‬24

But you are the chosen of God! He elected you. You are a descendant of Abraham.

“I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?  So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”  So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith." Galatians 3:2‭-‬3‭, ‬6‭, ‬9

You don't have to cower and fear! The Lord is with you! Don't be surprised! It is the Lord who strives. You don't need an incentive to produce an idol. The Lord is the one who helps you. You don't need help from any man. The Lord is the one who supports you with the right hand of His Justice. You receive His Righteouness by faith!

““With whom will you compare me or count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?  Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out silver on the scales; they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god, and they bow down and worship it.  They lift it to their shoulders and carry it; they set it up in its place, and there it stands. From that spot it cannot move. Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer; it cannot save them from their troubles.

Isaiah 46:5‭-‬7

Don't you know what the Lord has clearly commanded?

““You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." Exodus 20:4‭-‬6

What happens to the one who makes an idol? What happens to the one who worships and adores him?

“Our God is in heaven; He does whatever pleases Him.  But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands.  They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell.  They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats.  Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.  All you Israelites, trust in the Lord — he is their help and shield." Psalms 115:3‭-‬4‭, ‬6‭-‬9

“Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.  Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons." 1 Corinthians 10:14‭-‬21

Can anyone live in idolatry and be filled with the Holy Spirit?

Can someone sow strife, be conceitful and be filled with the Holy Spirit?

“And do not get drunk with wine, where there is strife, but be filled with the Spirit,” Ephesians 5:18.

The wine of many believers today may not be the fruit of the vine, but it is intolerance, anger, hate, readiness to condemn, an excess of carnality.

Can someone be filled with the Holy Spirit and hate his brother?

Hatred manifests itself in speaking badly, cursing, cutting off relationships, not forgiving, letting the root of bitterness spring into the heart, living well with the person all the time and in the first failure that the person commits to break the friendship, not showing respect anymore, filling the heart with anger and hurt. It is appropriate for a boy and a girl to act like a child, it is understandable, but old believers who act with immature and untimely reactions is no joke.

“He who loves his brother is in the light, and there is no scandal in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where to go; because darkness has blinded his eyes.” 1 John 2: 10-11

Can someone be filled with the Holy Spirit and be bitterly jealous?

Can someone be filled with the Holy Spirit and hide feelings, be pretended?

Can someone be filled with the Holy Spirit and be immature?

Can one be filled with the Holy Spirit and be filled with the devil at the same time?

“But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord ? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.  For rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord , he has rejected you as king.” 1 Samuel 15:22‭-‬23

True LOVE is obeying the Word of the Lord.

““If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John‬ ‭14:15‬

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other." Galatians 5:13‭-‬15

Idolatry is sin. That means all idolatry. Every single one. Without distinction.

HOW DO I FIND GOD? By Fillipe Ferreira

 HOW DO I FIND GOD?

 By Fillipe Ferreira

A question that many people ask themselves daily is: How do I find God?

"You will seek me and you will find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

I can say that I was privileged to meet Jesus on the streets, I was able to chat with him, I was able to hug him, I was able to eat with him!

In several places I always find him.

“Because I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was an outsider, and you took me in; I was naked, and you dressed me; sick, and you visited me; arrested, and you went to see me. Then the righteous will ask, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and we gave you a drink? And when did we see you as a stranger and host you? Or naked and dress you up? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you? The King, answering, will say to them: Truly I say to you, whenever you did it to one of these my little brothers, you did it to me. ” Matthew 25: 35-40

Many talk about Peter who denied Jesus three times. How about you ? How many times have you denied Him when you met Him on the street?

God is no longer in the Holy of Holies, God is not behind a veil.

Any who read, understand!

Every night I talk to God. I sit on my bed and ask him to sit next to me and start talking!

I met him in my room, and today I meet him often on the street. He's on the streets!

"However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men..." Acts 7:48

“Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit that dwells in you, that it was given to you by God, and that you are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19

"You were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God with your own body.” 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20
