CYRUS, IRAN, AND THE CALL TO STAND WITH ISRAEL By Josimar Salum

CYRUS, IRAN, AND THE CALL TO STAND WITH ISRAEL

Based on an article written by Lance Wallnau: GOD IS CALLING US TO STAND ON HIS PROMISE DURING THIS CRITICAL MOMENT!

By Josimar Salum

21/6/2025

Cyrus the Great was a Persian king —historically and biblically recognized as the founder of the Achaemenid Empire, the first Persian Empire, established around 550 BC. His name appears in the Bible not merely as a political figure, but as someone whom God sovereignly raised up for a divine purpose.

Historically, Cyrus was Persian. The term “Persian” refers to the ancient ethnic and cultural group originating from Persis, which corresponds to what is today the Fars Province in Iran. The Persians were a proud and influential people who gave rise to one of the greatest empires of antiquity.

However, if Cyrus lived today, he would be considered Iranian—because modern-day Iranoccupies the same territory once ruled by the Persian kings, and the Persian people are one of Iran’s primary ethnic foundations. Cyrus was a descendant of the Persians, and therefore, by today’s standards, he would naturally fall under the national identity of “Iranian.”

An important distinction must be made between the terms “Persian” and “Iranian”: Persianrefers to the ancient ethnic and cultural identity rooted in the region of Persis, an identity still proudly embraced today, particularly within Iran. In contrast, Iranian is the modern national identity officially adopted in 1935, which encompasses all ethnic groups within the borders of present-day Iran, including Persians. Therefore, while Cyrus was Persian by blood, heritage, and empire, he would today be considered Iranian by geography and national identity.

God Is Calling Us to Stand Firm on His Promises in This Critical Hour. Like many of you, I’ve been deeply disturbed by the growing surge of anti-Israel rhetoric flooding the internet. The spirit of antisemitism is not merely ideological—it is spiritual. Even within patriotic movements like “America First,” some voices are now suggesting that the United States should distance itself from Israel. But this moment goes far beyond politics or alliances - this is spiritual warfare.

We believe we are once again encountering the ancient principality referred to in Daniel 10:13—the Prince of Persia. This powerful demonic force resisted the purposes of God in ancient times and required both Gabriel and Michael to overcome. What we are facing now is not just a war of narratives or policies - it is a supernatural clash for nations, destinies, and the fulfillment of prophecy.

Satan would love nothing more than to crush Israelhumiliate the United States, and destroy President Trump’s mission to restore America. But that will not happen.

In prayer, the Lord reminded me of something He spoke to me back in 2015:

Donald Trump is a modern-day Cyrus.

That word led me (Lance Wallnau) back to the prophecy in Isaiah 45:1, where God declares:

“I will go before you and level the exalted places,

to loose the belts of kings,

to open doors before you, that gates may not be closed.” (Isaiah 45:1, ESV)

The phrase “to loose the belts of kings” carried powerful symbolism in the ancient world. A king’s belt secured his weapons, his royal garments, and his authority to rule and fight. To loosen it meant to disarm him, to leave him vulnerable, unprepared, and stripped of power.

He is loosening the belts of kings in our day—disarming powersdestabilizing systems, and opening doors that no man can shut. Thrones are shaking. Elites are being exposed. Strongholds are losing their grip. And all of this is happening as part of God’s sovereign agenda to prepare the nations for the advance of His Kingdom.

And let us not forget: Cyrus didn’t even know the Lord, yet God still called him “My anointed.”

If God could use a secular Persian king to fulfill prophetic destiny, how much more can He use a president who has acknowledged Jesus, honored God’s people, and stood with Israel?

This is not the time to retreat in fear or be distracted by controversy. This is a time to praystand, and intercede with boldness.

The Battle Is Intensifying—But So Is the Movement of God

Doors are opening.

Thrones are trembling.

Strongholds are breaking.

Nations are being positioned for the greatest Gospel advance in history.

We are not passive observers—we are called to be intercessors, aligned with heaven’s purpose.

Let us walk with clarity.

Let us pray with authority.

Let us remain unshaken—rooted in the Word of God and led by the Spirit of God.

THE TRUMP FACTOR AND THE UKRAINE WAR

THE TRUMP FACTOR AND THE UKRAINE WAR

Braulia I. Ribeiro

The inability of some Christians to recognize the evil of war and their tendency to confuse ideals with attainable goals baffles me.

If you are posting today that you "stand with Ukraine," you are likely expressing admiration for the courage of Ukrainians fighting for their sovereignty (or *freedom,* as some say)—which I, too, find admirable.

However, words and slogans are not just abstract expressions; they represent real events happening to real people in the real world.

What does it mean for Ukraine to keep fighting? More death.

Death and destruction on a massive scale. Young men being conscripted to face North Korean and Russian troops in brutal battles. If more countries join the battle, the looming shadow of World War III will be over all of us. And let’s not forget—Russia is a nuclear power and that 1.5 million people have lost their lives so far.

At this point, what does the ideal that Ukraine is fighting for even mean in practical terms? It certainly does not mean that Russia will return Crimea or the  eastern territories  that Putin has annexed.  Putin will not give them up, everyone knows.

So why is Zelensky refusing the peace agreement Trump is proposing, which offers him the same territorial outcome but with the added assurance of U.S. protection—a result of America's vested interest in Ukraine’s mineral resources?

This deal would allow Zelensky to secure U.S. protection without NATO membership, retain most of Ukraine's territory, end the bloodshed, and allow the world—especially Europe—to breathe again.

Yet, instead of pursuing peace, Zelensky has become a puppet of interests that do not prioritize the Ukrainian people. His refusal to negotiate is not about sovereignty or national survival—it is about undermining Trump on the world stage.

If you truly stand with Ukraine, consider this: The only real opportunity to stop Russia’s war machine was offered by the very man you love to hate—the "bad orange man."

The moral position on this war is to pray for its end—that is my view.

But as many have said about me, don’t bother considering my opinion. After all, I must be ignorant, since I don’t judge every single event through the "Trump factor."

   If he’s involved? Bad.

   If he’s not? Good.

   Simple as that, right?

QATAR AND THE PARIS SAINT GERMAN SOCCER CLUB

QATAR AND THE PARIS SAINT GERMAN SOCCER CLUB

  By Eli Simberg

For those who don't know, the Paris Saint German (PSG) football club is majority owned by the government of Qatar, which coincidentally owns Al-Jazeera TV, which used Hamas terrorists in Gaza as journalists.

In fact, the journalist in question kept an Israeli hostage (Noa Argamani) kidnapped by Hamas in his home.

The Qatari government was also one of the major investors, along with Iran, in the terrorist infrastructure built in Gaza by Hamas.

Qatar is also currently the LARGEST donor to major American universities, and this explains the recent violent university protests in the United States.

The Qatari government's sole objective is to use the Islamic strategy of manipulating the international community through the Muslim Arabs in Israel and Gaza, who in the recent past were called "Palestinians" in an attempt to destroy the legitimacy of the sovereign nation of Israel.

Muslims are also using entertainment to spread lies and hatred against the nation of Israel, trying to make the real aggressors, the pseudo-Islamic “Palestinian” governments, look like victims.

Anyone who has studied the history of the Roman Empire knows that “Palestine” is a pejorative term created by Emperor Hadrian to belittle the Jews and delegitimize the ancient nation of Israel during the Roman conquests.

At the time, the name of Jerusalem was changed to Aelia Captolina and even Roman coins were minted with the description Judea Capta.

At that time, there were no Palestinian Arabs, much less Muslims, anywhere on planet Earth.

If Palestine exists, then it must be disinfected and freed from Islamic terrorism.

All European Life Died in Auschwitz

All European Life Died in Auschwitz

The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer
Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan.
15, 2008.

   By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a
terrible truth — Europe died in Auschwitz. We killed six million
Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we
burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the
chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful
people who changed the world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science,
art, international trade, and above all as the conscience of the
world. These are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove
to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened
our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and
ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and
poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families
with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities
into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they
plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical
hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for
backwardness and superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their
talent for a better future for their children, their determined
clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for
people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for
our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

AFTER THE WAR, PEACE AND PROSPERITY!

AFTER THE WAR, PEACE AND PROSPERITY!

I firmly believe that after this war Israel will experience a very long time of peace and prosperity. There will be peace in the region.  Even there will be peace for Lebanon, for Palestine, Syria and Egypt. Israel shall be abundantly blessed with Shalom, Victory and wealth. This video for me is a sign of the refreshing times that are to come. 10/23/2023 — Josimar Salum #IsraelLives #ASONE

APPEAL FROM A HEART BROKEN BY THE PAIN AND SUFFERING OF GOD'S PEOPLE. By Josimar Salum

A CONFESSION FROM A HEART BROKEN BY THE PAIN AND SUFFERING OF GOD'S PEOPLE.

 By Josimar Salum (11/10/2023)

Imagine if you received news that your youngest son was shot while having fun at a party, not only him, but his friends, massacred by hundreds of terrorists. Imagine that these beings of evil incarnate came out shooting at your son and everyone else around him without any restrictions or distinction.

Imagine if the police arrived at your house to tell you that your father and mother were murdered by the same monsters (demons in the flesh) that killed hundreds of peaceful people and entire families who were just waking up to celebrate Shabbat as they always did every other day.

Imagine if you were a grandfather or a grandmother and received the news that your grandchildren, lying in their beds, were woken up and beheaded by men shouting “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar” and that these men also killed their parents, grandchildren, and children, with machine gun fire.

Imagine you, as a father, watching the television in horror as your daughter, is exposed like a trophy on the streets of Gaza by savage men who just finished raping her!

Would you be laughing today? Would you be making jokes? Would you be living your life the same way?

There are friends I know whose children have been sent to war against Hamas and don't know when, or if, they will return home.

If you don't have the sensitivity to at least act with caution and care towards people who are suffering, in solidarity with those who are suffering right now, I don't know if the Love of God lives in you!

Either that, or you need to break down, soften your heart, cry with those who cry and at the very least become a fervent intercessor for the lives of all who suffer right now.

An entire nation is groaning in pain, in shame, but its citizens are not desperate, nor dejected; they are determined to fight and defeat Evil.

Since Saturday, my life has completely changed! I'm not the same anymore. I can't be. It is an accumulation of suffering, of silently watching all these barbarities camouflaged out of respect for those who are different. I did not change to act like these diabolical animals, but to raise the flag of Justice, the only manner that will one day herald Peace

I will now more than ever, with what I can, with what weapons I have, with a broken heart, move as many people as possible to be awakened from their lives of indifference, from their comfortable homes, from their satisfied lives, from their dormancy and imaginations of being in some distant place where evil cannot reach them.

Forgive me, but I don't know how to behave or what to say to avoid offending you, but this time calls for real men and women who really know how to love Justice and hate iniquity. Lamentations‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭

[19] Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at every street corner.

SOME OPEN AND RAW REFLECTIONS ON THE MURDEROUS ATTACK ON ISRAEL. By MICHAEL BROWN

SOME OPEN AND RAW REFLECTIONS ON THE MURDEROUS ATTACK ON ISRAEL.

By MICHAEL BROWN

October 9, 2023

As news was breaking on Saturday and we were learning about the atrocities that were taking place in Israel, I immediately wrote an article. But even as I was writing, the news kept getting worse. How could this be happening? It turns out that things were far worse than we could have imagined.

Here are some open, honest, raw reflections on the last 48 hours.

The Scope of the Terrorist Attack and the Scale of Suffering Inflicted are Unprecedented in the Modern State of Israel.

This is the worst massacre of Jews on any single day since the Holocaust. Just that alone is mind-numbing.

But when you remember that the size of the Jewish population of Israel is roughly 7 million — meaning about 1/47th the population of America — the numbers become completely devastating.

If we translate this into the proportionate number of deaths in America, we’re talking about 9/11, but more than 10 times over.

We’re talking about more than 117,000 wounded.

And we’re talking about what would be the equivalent of perhaps 5,000 Americans taken hostage into Afghanistan. Who can fathom this?

A husband texted his wife from a kibbutz, saying it was a mess and there was heavy shooting. Minutes later, the daughter texted, “Mom, it’s Daria. Dad has been murdered. Stav too. Help.”

Another post, describing the kidnapping of the person’s 85-year-old grandmother, read, “This is my grandmother, abducted without any hindrance into Gaza. She helped establish the kibbutz with her own hands, believed in Zionism, and loved this country that trusted her. She is now likely abandoned somewhere, suffering in severe pain, without medicine, food, or water, dying in fear, all alone.”

And then, staggering headlines like this, after we thought the initial death count had been finalized (aside from the critically injured): “About 260 people are believed to have been killed at [a music] festival with new photos being released that show bodies piled high.”

Piles of Jewish bodies? What does this sound like?

When I first heard 40 were murdered, my heart sank. Then 100. Then over 250. Now over 700.

Let us not downplay the magnitude of this tragedy.

This is When Israel’s Enemies Rejoice

I personally went through the AskDrBrown Facebook page and my X account numerous times on Sunday, deleting and/or blocking vile comment after comment.

Many anti-Semites took exception to this post in particular: “No matter what your position is on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, if you rejoice over the slaughter of Israeli women, children, babies, and the elderly, your heart is evil.”

In response I was told that it was Israel that was murderous and their sufferings were well deserved. (And, for the record, I was informed that I believed in the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.)

When my team posted the same comment on Facebook, adding the graphic of an Israeli flag and a meme saying, “Pray for Israel,” the comments got uglier still.

Those were not real Jews living there. They were the synagogue of Satan. And it was the evil Zionists who rejoiced over the slaughter of innocent Palestinian children.

Of course, this was also the time for the false moral equivalencies, as if Israeli troops, doing their best to avoid civilian casualties, could be compared to coldblooded murderers who slaughtered babies and children in cold blood. Or who butchered parents in the presence of their young children. Or who gunned down elderly Israelis — while radical Muslims in Gaza and Iran and elsewhere rejoiced. Please.

Is Israel blameless in its dealing with the Palestinians? Certainly not. Have there been cases of abuse by Israeli soldiers over the years? Absolutely. But these are investigated and called out and tried in court, not celebrated. And nothing Israel has done can compare to the barbaric actions of Hamas.

A Nation Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

An insightful post from Messianic Jewish leaders in Israel noted that one reason for Hamas’s success was that, “The IDF reserves framework has recently been weakened as a result of the boiling internal debates in Israel over the judicial overhaul, and the Israeli Police were similarly weakened due to being used to guard anti-overhaul demonstrators instead of more pressing security needs.”

They added, “In a recent interrogation of a Hamas terrorist captured by Israel, he noted a few points: Hamas had planned this coordinated attack for over one year; the anti-government demonstrations in Israel (which divided, distracted and weakened the nation) were a great encouragement to them; they broke through into Israel and were free to murder and kidnap for 5 hours before the IDF responded to them; 1,000 Hamas terrorists participated in the operation; they made 15 holes in the security fence; the Hamas forces were astounded that IDF forces were not there at the fence to confront the jihadi forces.”

Israel is Not Promised Protection

There are certainly verses in the Old Testament which promise divine protection of the people of Israel in the Land, some of which are familiar to Christians (see Isaiah 54:17, for example). And who has not heard or read Psalm 121, which includes the words, “indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4)?

Yet these promises applied in their fullest sense to a righteous nation, and Israel today is not in the Land because of its righteousness (see Ezekiel 36) but because of God’s mercy.

While I do believe that the Lord has protected Israel from disaster countless times — not just throughout history but in particular in the last 75 years back in the Land — there has also been much pain and suffering. (Need I elaborate?)

So, while it is shocking beyond words to take in what has happened in Israel, we cannot imagine that nothing can touch the Jewish people. That would be naïve. That’s why we should continue to pray for God’s mercy.

Radical Islam is Demonic

Without a doubt, there are millions of Muslims who are decent human beings and who are shocked by the actions of Hamas, just as they were shocked at the actions of Isis. They would be the first to say this does not represent their faith. (The question of what is “real Islam” is separate from the point I am making.) Let us acknowledge how demonic radical Islam is without demonizing all Muslims.

While Some Christian Zionists Can Make an Idol out of Israel, We Should Celebrate Christian Love for Israel, not Disparage It

Indeed, it is Christian love for Israel that has helped wipe away centuries of “Christian” antisemitism. And it is Christian love for Israel that is making a difference at this critical hour and will do so in the days and months ahead. Thank God for healthy Christian Zionism.

We Must Not Forget the Suffering of the Palestinian People, Especially in Gaza

It is true that what Hamas has done is monstrous, parading bodies of murdered Israeli women — stripped naked — before cheering, jeering crowds, among other atrocities. But let us remember that the average citizen of Gaza is also a victim of sorts.

Not only is the Gaza Strip one of the most densely populated regions in the world with much poverty, but with the people electing Hamas in their one and only election (in 2006) — as opposed to having the option of a peace-loving leadership that recognized the Jewish state — Gaza has been isolated by Israel. And when you realize that the median age of Gazan Palestinians is 18 (10 years younger than the worldwide average), you understand that a large percentage of the populace has grown up blaming Israel for all its problems.

State TV brainwashes them, as do their school systems. The people do not realize that hundreds of millions of dollars of support is used for weaponry and tunnels rather than helping fight poverty. (Or, if they understand this, they think it’s justified.)

And when Israel launches a counterstrike on Gaza, amounting to more Palestinian suffering, then Israel is viewed as all the more evil.

As Joel Rosenberg wrote in response to calling for the evacuation of women, children, and the elderly from Gaza, after which Israel would totally destroy it, “Are you crazy? I’m an Israeli. I want my country to defeat Hamas, reestablish security and liberate our hostages. But genocide is not the answer . . . 2 million Palestinians live in the Gaza Strip. They are also suffering under Hamas’ reign of terror.”

We must pray for God’s mercy for the Palestinians as well.

Yes, We Are at War

As a Christian leader shared with me on Sunday morning after I preached on God’s pain for Israel, “It’s not just Israel that is at war, as Netanyahu said. As Christians, we are all at war” — meaning, the spiritual war is intense and real, and while the outward manifestations are clearest in Israel right now, the spiritual conflict is just as real here.

Yes, It Was a Terrible Mistake for America to Give Billions of Dollars to Iran

I do not want to make this political, but for good reason, Trump’s recent comment has gone viral.

“Former President Donald Trump warned last month about terror attacks in the Middle East after his successor, President Joe Biden, released $6 billion in frozen oil revenues to Iran.

The resurfaced prediction popped up online Saturday, following Hamas’ surprise assault on Israel, which included the firing of rockets and attacks on Israeli military personnel and civilians. Hamas, an Islamic terrorist group that is funded in-part by Iran, notably launched the attack on the holiday of Simchat Torah and on Shabbat — the Jewish day of rest that is observed by many in Israel.” — The Daily Wire

I Don’t Know How, but God Can Bring Beauty out of Ashes

This is who He is. This is what He does. And just as out of the ashes of the Holocaust the modern nation of Israel was birthed, God can bring something beautiful out of the agony and screams and terror and blood and suffering. Let us lean hard on Him in the days ahead, continuing to pray for His merciful intervention. And may the eyes of all the people in the region find mercy in His Son.
