WHEN GRACE OFFENDS YOU!

   The pure Gospel of Jesus was not well received by those who, in practical terms, were the main target of his pilgrimages on Earth.

   “And he answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24 KJV

   This is due to the fact that the Justice brought by the son of God was totally contrary to the self-righteousness, self-reward and self-affirmation esteemed by the religious people of his time. 

   For many, rejecting the Wonderful Grace is an easier path than having to reject their own concepts and 'truths' (sophisms, 2 Corinthians 10.3) that have governed their lives for a long time.

   “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to destroy strongholds; destroying thoughts and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every mind into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 KJV

   When your truths are torn apart by the Truth that sets you free (John 8:32), your reaction is to deny and flee in order to maintain the position of honor you think you have. 

   Yesterday, he got up and left, failing to hear the Truth that could free his life from the religious dungeon.

   My heart saddened, because he was so close to the Truth but his soul was stupidly far from it.

   Paul called this the cauterization of thought (1 Timothy 4:2). May God have mercy on many like this!
