IN FERVENT PRAYER

“Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
Prayer is essential! Pray fervently; pray in worship; pray for your brothers and sisters; pray for your enemies; pray in gratitude; pray through afflictions; pray in victories; pray in the morning, at noon, and night; pray crying; pray smiling; pray every day; pray as Jesus prayed; pray without ceasing!
“And whatever you ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
Prayer is a direct line to the Throne, without having to go through a secretary or voicemail. Prayer is not a rite or a ritual, it is a conversation with the Sovereign, King of the Universe, Creator of Heaven and Earth. The man who kneels and lays his struggles at the feet of Jesus becomes the man the Enemy fears most.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." James 5:16
Prayer is essential to a relationship with God, and nothing can replace it. Prayer cannot be replaced by works or praises or preaching or studies, it cannot be replaced by anything! The man who prays is a man who knows and rejoices in the will of God!
