When believers have to look like the world...

*“When believers have to look like the world and get involved in what the world does in wickedness and sinfulness to appeal to the world, they are not believers anymore. They are worldly as anybody else. You don’t drown with the world to try to save the world. Everywhere many churches are caught by the crazy idea that contextualization is doing what the world does. Let us play Carnival, let us drink in a bar to be close to the sinners, let us do this, let us do that. If there is not a clear line draw of what God loves and what God hates people will loose sight of what the Gospel is.  You don’t reach this sinful generation being just polite and kind. Politeness and kindness without the truth is a false love. Watering the Gospel is impossible. By the time you mix the Gospel the Gospel flees and you are left with the fake gospel. Grace is not cheap. It costed Jesus who shed His blood on the Cross for our sins. If you offer a shortcut and facilities to the lost you have lost the Cross. And there is no Gospel without repentance and the Cross.” - Josimar Salum #ASONE *
