WHAT ABOUT DREAMS Dr Paul Taylor

WHAT ABOUT DREAMS

Dr Paul Taylor

May all of you memorize this verse of scripture in the Passion translation.  It is the kind of mindset that we all should possess as Kingdom believers.

“The lovers of God who chase after righteousness will find all their dreams come true: an abundant life drenched with favor and a fountain that overflows with satisfaction.” Proverbs‬ ‭21:21‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The first thing I taught my Burundian brothers and sisters was to dream. Those who did and WORKED towards those dreams, have accomplished amazing things.

Dreams do not mystically appear.  Dreams are seeds from heaven planted in our hearts.

We must cultivate the seed to see fruit produced from that initial seed.  It is a process that could encompass years of time.

In the process we are changed, hopefully for the better and equipped to fulfill our purpose and reach our destiny!  Without a dream, you can never have a dream come true!  Never stop dreaming.  Ask God for dreams!

2022 IS ALL ABOUT YOU Dr. Paul Taylor

2022 IS ALL ABOUT YOU

Dr. Paul Taylor

I have always taken some time at the beginning of a new year to ask God to give me something to hold on to as we move into the year ahead.  A word of direction.  Usually it would rhyme with whatever year it was.  This year is 2022.

The word of direction is “2022 is all about you!”  What do I mean?  We know what God has done through His Son Jesus Christ.  “IT IS FINISHED!”  So the question is, “What am I going to do in 2022?”  It is about you, me.  Will you seek Him?  Will you pray?  Will you hunger and thirst for Him?  Will you be Jesus to the world around you?  Will you be the Blessing to others that God has been to you?

This year when writing to my children at Christmas, a yearly tradition of mine, I shared with them the book, “The Blessing” by John Trent, and Gary Smalley.

This book made me aware that I possess something very powerful called The Blessing.  Not just me, but both my wife and me.

I believe the blessing is of incredible importance to our children, but I also believe we can BE THE BLESSING TO OTHERS.

As parents we possess the ability to bless or curse our children.  You have this same ability and that is why I am sharing this message with each of you.

I remember vividly the time I taught this book when we were still a small but growing church.

I asked those in the class, how many received their parent’s blessing?  I was amazed that there was only one other person in the entire class that had received their parent’s blessing.  I am not going to take time to tell you what is in the book, but only that it is critical to the future of your children and the generations to come.

Briefly, in the Bible the blessing was given by the father to the eldest son.  What the authors of the book share is that parents can give the blessing to all their children and we can BE the blessing to others.  Times have changed, but the principles of the Bible remain just as powerful.

In the Bible it was a specific event when this giving of the blessing took place.  The authors show that the giving of the blessing is not just a one time event, but a lifetime of little things done consistently that pass the blessing on to our children and others.  They break the blessing into 5 parts.  You can make a difference.  These 5 principles are:

1.  Appropriate meaningful touch.

2.  A spoken or written message.

3.  Attaching high value.

4.  Picturing a special future.

5.  An active, genuine commitment.

It is amazing that when a person receives these 5 principles during their childhood, right through to adulthood, it creates a thriving, self confident person who is ready to face the challenges of life.

But this is not magic.  There is still the personal responsibility of the individual, but what a difference it makes!

One of the most moving stories in the Bible is when Jacob received his father's blessing in place of Esau.

You can read the entire story in Genesis 27. In this chapter you will find the 5 part blessing. But I can feel Esau's anguish as he cries out, filled with bitterness, he pleaded with his father: "Bless me also, my father!"  Genesis 27:34

The authors do not speak of the significance of Jacob's impersonating as Esau to receive THE BLESSING nor how Esau despised it throughout his life.  Well it really happened.  Esau despised the blessing and sold it for a plate of lentil soup.  It's that the Blessing is for the child who wants it all his life.

“Once, when Jacob was preparing a stew, Esau came hungry, returning from the field, and asked him: “Give me some of that red stew there.  I am starving!"  That's why it was also called Edom.

Jacob replied, "Sell me your eldest son's right first."

Said Esau: “I am about to die.  What good is this right to me?"

Jacob, however, insisted: "Swear first."  He took an oath, selling his eldest son right to Jacob.

So Jacob served Esau bread with lentil stew.  He ate and drank, got up and left.  So Esau despised his right as an eldest son." Genesis 25:29-34

He despised the right of the firstborn.  He despised the BLESSING OF THE FIRSTBORN JESUS.  (Editor's Note)

But there people today are crying out for their parent’s blessing and yes, your blessing also.  They may not vocalize it, but it is very evident as they search for meaning in life.

I was so blessed as a child to have received the blessing from my parents.  You do not have to be a perfect parent or person to give the blessing.  There is no such thing as a perfect parent, but if you will consistently apply these five principles, you also will transfer the blessing to others.

As a grandfather I am doing everything I can to give the blessing to my children and grandchildren.  Thus, the purpose behind the Christmas family letters.  A written message, attaching high value, as I picture a special future for each of my children and grandchildren.  It is part of my commitment to God and to each of you.

I believe we can all give the blessing of Jesus Christ to others, because was have received this blessing from Him!

TPT (The Passion Translation we read, “Yahweh’s blessed ones receive the land, but the cursed ones will be cut off with nothing to show for themselves.  When Yahweh delights in how you live your life, he establishes your every step… Not once have I found a lover of God forsaken by Him, nor have any of their children gone hungry.  Instead, I’ve found the godly ones to be the generous ones who give freely to others.  Their children are blessed and becoming a blessing.” Psalm 37:22,23,25,26

So, in 2022 will you be the blessing?  This year is all about YOU!  What will you do?  You have been given the blessing.  Will you in turn bless others by sharing the 5 principles given from the book “The Blessing”?

If you are a parent, it is essential that you apply these 5 principles on a continuous basis with your children.  If you have no children, I challenge you to apply these principles in your daily life with those around you.  Watch and see the difference it will make in the lives of others.  BE THE BLESSING BECAUSE 2022 IS ALL ABOUT YOU!

A PATHWAY TO LEADERSHIP. Dr Paul Taylor

A PATHWAY TO LEADERSHIP. Dr Paul Taylor

I want to encourage you with 4 things that create a pathway to leadership.

These are not my words.  I have taken them from a podcast that I listen to for the organization BNI that I would love to introduce to Burundi, but it has not happened yet.

These 4 things are critical to the pathway to leadership and I believe many of you are doing them to some extent already.

*Be solution focused, not problem focused. *

Remember you are the solution to someone’s problem.

Everything God has created has been with purpose and that includes you!

Be an expert at solving problems with solutions and you will create wealth and happiness.  This requires vision, which uses your HEART, not your EYES!  Your eyes see the problem, your heart sees the solution!

*Collaborate. *

Work together with others.  I see how you work as a team.  It is amazing.  Collaboration is a forced multiplier.  It means you can accomplish more together than you can a part!  In the Bible, with God one can set to flight a thousand, two 10 thousand!  It is called synergy!  The sum of the parts is greater than the whole!  Working together with others will multiply your efforts exponentially.

*Be a champion of Culture. *

Culture eats strategy for breakfast!  Culture is how you do your business.  How you treat others along the way.  It includes your Vision, Mission, Core Values.  In essence, it is who you are!  Who you are is always more important than what you do!

Culture includes why we do what we do!  It will guarantee success no matter what the outcome is.  Remember what Josimar Salum wrote, do the right thing and God will take care of the rest.

We must always have a Christ Culture!  Do unto others as we would have them do unto us!

*Care about the success of others!  *

People do not care what we have to say until they know that we care about them!

When we put the success of others before ourselves, then we will be successful!

Remember “I believe in you!”  Our actions should shout these words to others.  People need to know that we believe in them!

I believe you are doing all of these things.  Why?

Because true leadership is when we help people accomplish more than they thought possible!

You are doing more today than I believe you ever thought was possible.

We have only just begun!  Keep up the great work.  I am so proud of each of you.  Share this with others and let them know how proud of them you are.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD SUFFERS VIOLENCE AND THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE. Dr Paul Taylor

THE KINGDOM OF GOD SUFFERS VIOLENCE AND THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE. Dr Paul Taylor

I have been meditating on this scripture for a long time.

“The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the Kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.”  Luke 16:16

The word “pressing” in the Greek is “biazetai”.  It means “force or pressing oneself into or to seize.”  It is the same word used in Matthew 11:12.  “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”  The word “violence or violent” is the same word, “biazetai”.

Why does it take force to enter the Kingdom of God?  What is the resistance to entering the Kingdom of God?

Please, let me encourage you to read this Scripture before we continue:

“Strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the Kingdom of God.” Acts‬ ‭14:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I have often made the comment that their will be many who will be saved, but will never walk in the Kingdom of God here on Earth.

I truly believe there is a great difference. There is no doubt that salvation is needed to enter the Kingdom of God. Salvation is freely given and freely received by those who have faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world. Jesus is the Door, there is no other way to salvation and a relationship with our heavenly Father.  However, I have no doubt that Jesus never intended the salvation message to be the end, but the beginning to a life relationship with God and His Kingdom or realm on the Earth!

The great difference that I see between the message of salvation and the message of the Kingdom of God is that the first may prepare you for heaven but the second prepares you for a life long adventure here on Earth with God, and to live eternally in His Kingdom. The message of salvation is about heaven, but the message of the Kingdom is about the Kingdom.

It should be noted that the message of the Kingdom reconciles you with your Heavenly Father and allows you to walk in the realm of heaven on Earth for a life long adventure with God!  However it is a journey, not a destination! It is not the end, but just the beginning.

This relationship with God is amazing, but comes with a price!  Not a price that you can purchase, because you do not earn it!  The price is effort, pressing, violence (spiritual), denying of oneself to enter in to the Kingdom realm. The apostle Paul said it comes through much tribulation or hardships.  The word in the Greek means, persecution, affliction, distress, tribulation. From the Greek word “thlibo”; pressure.

Again, my question is why?

I am sure there are many answers to this question.  When I read the context of scripture I see two enemies or powers that resist my walking in the Kingdom of God.

Remember I don’t earn it and you don’t earn it.  It was purchased by the blood of Jesus and made available to everyone who is born again.  Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”  John 3:3.

You cannot even see the Kingdom of God without being born again!  This scripture also verifies that there is more to our relationship with God and our purpose here on Earth than salvation.

The first resistance is that of the religious system, the law.  Read how the Pharisees despised Jesus for preaching the Kingdom of God.  Why?  The law allowed you to manipulate it.  You can keep the law and be far from the Kingdom of God!  Today it may not be the law by the Pharisees, but it is by the church through legalisms, rules and systems.

Jesus doesn’t want your sacrifice of works.  He wants your heart!  The law will allow you to justify yourself before men!  But that can’t happen in the realm of God.  You must press past the resistance of religion!

“Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As you can notice it is the same problem today. Some leaders are lovers of money and through the preaching of works they make money. As my beloved friend Josimar Salum says: “There is no way someone can make money by preaching the Grace of God.”

The second resistance is your mind, yourself.  My greatest enemy is not the devil.  He has been defeated at the Cross.  My greatest enemy is ME!  My mind!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” II Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I have to battle against my mind and what I know to be true in my flesh.  This is where repentance takes place. I have to change my thinking by God’s thoughts. This is where the battle of faith intensifies.  I know what I see with my eyes or know with my intellect, but the things of God are spiritually perceived!

“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” I Corinthians‬ ‭2:6-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is an extremely important portion of scripture.  You cannot know God and His Kingdom realm with your natural mind.  You must press past the resistance of your human flesh to SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD!

Walking in the Kingdom of God is a constant battle between flesh and spirit.  I wish I could say I win that battle every day, but it is my desire to walk in the Kingdom realm of God on Earth, as it is in heaven.  The answers to today’s problems are found in this realm of God!  It is not by an escape from this world fed by the rapture mentality. It is a solution to the problems that mankind faces here on Earth.  It is not super spiritual, but it is supernatural! We are all on this journey together.

I pray you will join me as I press into the Kingdom of God.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FATHERS BEING OBEDIENT TO THE LORD AND TRAINING THEIR FAMILIES IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. Dr. Paul Taylor

THE IMPORTANCE OF FATHERS BEING OBEDIENT TO THE LORD AND TRAINING THEIR FAMILIES IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. Dr. Paul Taylor

Josimar asked me to write a message since business has slowed and I have a little more time.

I have so much to say and want to give just a short message on the importance of fathers being obedient to the Lord and training their families in righteousness.

I want to encourage you. We can often be hard on ourselves, but your love for God is pleasing to the Lord.

Your obedience sets you apart from others.  Your family is an amazing blessing and such a testimony of your spiritual leadership as a father, and husband.  This qualifies you to listen in on the plans of God.

“Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way. And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18:16-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

One of my favorite stories.  There is a conversation in heaven and it is recorded here.

God says, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing...”  The answer is no.  Why?  “For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

There is so much in this conversation that we are allowed to listen in on with God.

The bottom line is the obedience of Abraham to teach his children and household allows God to bring to Abraham all that He had spoken to him previously.  In your case, your obedience will allow you to receive all that God has for you.  This includes the promises of Abraham!!!

Being a godly husband and father allows God to share with you His plans!  If you can be trusted with earthly things, such as training your children and raising them in righteousness, then God will trust you with some of His plans.  He is looking for faithful men!

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. “ 2 Chron. 16:9.

Do not think your faithfulness to the Lord goes unnoticed.

A Message from Dr. Paul Taylor: Being Consistent!

A Message from Dr. Paul Taylor: Being Consistent!

Let me encourage you as you start your week.

“A man will not be established by wickedness, But the root of the [consistently] righteous will not be moved.” Proverbs‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The key word in this verse is “consistently”!  Being consistent is very important to your success.  It is the little things that separate you from the others.

I read this quote this morning and it went right along with the Word of God.

“It takes YOU doing the LITTLE THINGS... CONSISTENTLY to make up the difference between failing and winning!” - Darren Hardy

What you are doing with people in Burundi is so important.  What you are doing with your family, your life may seem small or little, but your consistency will make the difference in the lives of many.

Consistently doing the right thing produces LIFE!

“In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death [but immortality—eternal life].”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Blessings to all.

WHAT KINGDOM MINDED PROPLE DO. Dr. Paul Taylor & Dr. Josimar Salum

WHAT KINGDOM MINDED PROPLE DO.

Dr. Paul Taylor & Dr. Josimar Salum

WHAT KINGDOM MINDED PROPLE DO.

Dr. Paul Taylor & Dr. Josimar Salum

“It is very unique when godly leaders are teaching business principles and business building to those God has brought to them.

Most of the time church leaders just want money given to them so that they can pray and preach.

But what these Kingdom people are doing are not only unique but if is wonderful because they understand the incredible power of prayer and yet know that if people do not learn a trade for business, they will become beggars, and not what God has created them to be.

We are believing with people who have a Kingdom mindset that  combine prayer and work, value the gathering of God’s people in church, that do not have a sacred / secular worldview but see work as true worship, for tremendous favor and business success.

Together we can create a different Burundi.  A prosperous and Godly Burundi.

COMMENT BY PR. JEREMIE MANIRAKIZA

So powerful and instructive !

Many people in Burundi believe that prayer is sacred and work is secular which is not true. Most of our pastors could tell us not to work but to go to church to live there and this has created to much trouble and poverty in the church of Burundi.

I like when you say that with a kingdom mindset work is considered as a true worship, for tremendous favor and business success. Thank you for that.

May God transform us so that we may think according to His will.

Thank you.

Comment from Tharcisse Nzosaba

Thank you. Christians from pentecost churches are very poor. Pastors don't teach their members about business. In my association, we are helping young people from churches to know the principles of business things will change if  pastors change the mentalities and know  that to work is worship, we hope that God will change their bad mentalities through our advices. I want you to be my mentor and my coach.
