EITHER GOD IS FOR YOU OR AGAINST YOU Josimar Salum

EITHER GOD IS FOR YOU OR AGAINST YOU

Josimar Salum

Wouldn't you like to end your religiosity once and for all; to end your double life?

"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12

What are some of these evils?

“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral (the sexually immoral are libertine, obscene: of lewd behavior, they spend the nights with obscene music and excessive drug use in drunken environments; they disregard the things of God), nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9‭-‬10

God is terribly against anyone who practices these evils, God himself is said person's adversary. If God is for us, who can be against us? But if God is against us there is no one who can be for us.

Why don't you prosper or advance in your projects? Why is there no success in your life?

You may ask: What about the bad men who thrive in everything they do even though they do evil?

Don't be fooled: “The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden forever." 1 Timothy 5:24‭-‬25

The righteous are those who humbly depend on Jesus alone to transform their lives.

It is essential that there be a turning point in your life that separates your present from your past. Thousands upon thousands who are in the church fail to realize that their religious life only hides their life in the practice of sin. As they live and interact in a Christian environment, they practice the same things they have always practiced with a lot of prayer, with songs and a lot of going to church. What they say as Christians is not based on their testimony.

“And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:11

You haven't been washed if you continue to practice the same sins over and over again. You have not been justified if you continue to live a double life, one in private and another publicly.

“But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”

“Flee from sexual immorality.”

“Do not allow love to turn to lust, triggering a descent into sexual promiscuity, filthy practices, or intimidating greed.

While some tongues just love the taste of gossip, those who follow Jesus have better uses for their tongues than that!

Don't say filthy or foolish things. That kind of conversation doesn't fit our lifestyle. Thanksgiving is our dialect.

You can be sure that using people, religion, or things just to get what you can get out of them – the usual variations of idolatry – will get you nowhere, and certainly nowhere near the Kingdom of Christ, the Kingdom of God.

Don't get carried away by religious bullshit.

God gets mad at people who are full of religious sales talk but want nothing to do with him. Don’t even be around people like that.”

"You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?

You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:13‭, ‬18‭-‬20

"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them." Ephesians 5:3‭-‬7

Self-awareness of your state and your situation will allow you to go beyond your state of delusion and set a new course for your life. And only the Lord can help you.

Blaming others or justifying your actions on account of the misconduct of your parents, your spouses, family members, friends, pastors and whoever else will not do any good for you. God's business with you is only with you. You will sink into the wrath of God which is directly linked to your own practices and not those of others.

God is love and as much as He is Love, He is Justice!

For this reason, God will never condemn you for the sinful practices of others but for those you practice yourself. God will either condemn you or justify you.

“So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism." Romans 2:3‭-‬11

There is no act more unholy than taking the things of God, what you know as holiness, purity, the teachings of God that you have received in your life and despising them to continue living your life in practices that are far from God's will.

“What should the living complain? Complain anyone for their owns sins? Why should they complain when they are punished for their sins?" Lamentations 3:39

It's no use! You will never turn to God if you keep thinking as you think. It is not your actions that are the cause of your estrangement from God, but your thoughts.

If you don't align your thinking with what the Bible says, you will simply remain lost even though you appear to be a believer.

You align your thoughts not with your own way of interpreting the Bible or with what these modern preachers are teaching, with what you and they think, but with what God himself thinks and says.

For you to know how God thinks, just study the life of Jesus in the Gospels and observe how He spoke, with whom He walked, how He acted, how He behaved. AND FOLLOW JESUS.

Otherwise, you will keep doing what you have always done.

Immorality is sin. Not forgiving is a sin. Lying is a sin. Living in communion with the scoffers and this implies watching their videos, enjoying their songs, talking about their expressions and lying with them in thoughts is sin.

If Jesus does not transform you into His image and likeness, you will always be sin. Cry ardently to Him so that He will change your being completely.

Life with Jesus is not for those who do the things He did. Life with Jesus begins with Him giving you the power to become a child of God. When He changes you, you can do what He did.

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7
