MESSAGES OF DOOM ON THE INTERNET

What has saddened me about some of the videos, audios and messages I have received?

I get sadder every day with the lack of knowledge and wisdom of some of our brothers and sisters, who decide to share videos, audios and messages that have no basis in the Scriptures. None.

Because they are incautious, their sharing serves to spread false teachings, reinforce rebellious tendencies and contradict the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is simply that they like their favorite preachers and singers so much, whom they trust without even truly knowing them, and they just accept everything without examining the Scriptures. And spread disinformation…

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."

Acts 17:11 

““Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 7:15‭-‬16‭, ‬19‭-‬21

For lack of knowledge of the Bible, for lack of discernment of the Holy Spirit and for lack of wisdom to reject the message, they share it because it seems logical, or pleasant, or apparently correct, even if they have no way to say if it is the Truth.

In the name of a false right to opinion and a false freedom to think that you can spread what you think without the authorization of the Word and the Witness of the Spirit, said person still gets angry and rejects any admonition according to the Truth.

There are those who repeat what their past and present teachers teach without personal responsibility to check the Scriptures if what they say is the Truth. Traditions, customs and doctrines are perpetuated for years, decades and even centuries and, if they remain, “they must really be the teachings of Christ”, when in fact they are sophistry and religious strongholds that were raised and maintained without being challenged by the Gospel. And what of the one who says, “you have your own plank, who are you to question a man like this or a woman like that” as if a person's reputation is a complete guarantee that he teaches the Truth.

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete." 2 Corinthians 10:4‭-‬6 

“Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: “ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ ” Matthew 15:3‭, ‬6‭-‬9 

“Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God." Matthew 22:29 

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." Ephesians 4:14‭-‬15 

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough." 2 Corinthians 11:3‭-‬4 

“In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." Hebrews 5:12‭-‬14 

I will tell you why you are still boys, you still repeat false teachings, share messages and in addition to believing in these errors and lies, in the operation of error, you lead others to do the same by disseminating what they believe.

Because you live by listening to and watching messages from preachers, especially on Youtube and Whatsapp and don't study the s

Scriptures diligently, you do not consult the Spirit of God to examine, investigate and study the Bible with dedication and effort so that you may check whether what they hear is really the Truth or winds of false doctrines.

It's not that I generalize here. You know personally whether or not you are part of this group that practices such things.

As for me, before the Lord of whom I testify the Truth, “It gives me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the Truth." 3 John 1:3‭-‬4
