THE GOSPEL FREES YOU FROM THE TEMPLE.
Josimar Salum
“The most powerful thing in the Gospel is that it frees us from the concept that God lives in any building.” (Jake Colsen)
If you insist on a temple as a dwelling place for God, you still have no idea of the Gospel of Jesus.
Do you know why you insist on calling something what you want instead of what God wants? Disobedience!
You are so attached to your parents' tradition and religion that you cannot understand the simplicity of the Gospel. Hence the “tantrum” and your immersion in rites, beliefs, the same cult as always.
If going to God's house is going to a church (building) you have chosen a very formal place to be a home for God. The Jerusalem temple lost its meaning when the Lord left it for good.
Jesus, God was with us there in the carpentry shop and the people passing in front of the store to continue on the journey to Jerusalem.
Jesus was out in the hall since he could not enter the holy place, our High Priest was not from the tribe of Levi.
Jesus sat there with the doctors and the priests performed their empty rites in the holy place in front of the sanctuary, for God!
Jesus, God with us was on the routes, at the crossroads, in the shops, on the dusty roads, in the market place. And religious worshipers passed by Him towards Jerusalem.
We must now live the end. You have to experience the beginning. You have to worship in Spirit and in Truth anywhere with others who do the same.
“I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life." Revelation 21:22-27
The Bible narrative begins with a garden and ends with a city. The temple was lost on the way. At the end GOD himself is the temple and we are the temple.
Where is God who is not in the holy of holies? He is playing with the children on the streets, dancing in the squares, sitting in the family kitchen, making friends with people, having lunch (supper) with the men, women, boys, girls and children. ”
And what of you? Going to serve God with your songs, your prayers, your money, your instruments, your dances and your garments, in the temple!
