MY 100 THESES: THE RELIGIOUS GOSPEL VS. THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM - By Josimar Salum


 Martin Luther wrote and in October 31, 1517 posted his 95 theses in the castle church in Wittenberg questioning the sale of indulgences by the Roman Catholic Church.  Before, it was indulgences that were sold.  Today everything is, blessings and articles of faith.  To commemorate this historic event that revolutionized the entire Western world, I dared to simply write 100 theses for everyone who wants to analyze the situation of apostasy that the churches, the daughters of the Protestant Reformation, find themselves in today.


THE RELIGIOUS GOSPEL VS. THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM


 1 - Saved to go to Heaven VS. Saved to enter the Kingdom

 

 2 - Eternity after death, celestial focus VS. Eternal life now, focus on the Kingdom


 3 - Eternal Life in Heaven VS.  New Heavens and New Earth


 4 - Let's go up VS. Let's bring King Jesus down. “Thy Kingdom comes.”

 

 5 - Saved to worship VS. Reconciled to God to be Christ's ambassador to reconcile others to God

 

 6 - Preaches heaven VS. Preaches the Kingdom

 

 7 - Born Again To Be Saved From Hell VS. Born Again To Become A Child Of God

 

 8 - Saved to be blessed X Saved to fulfill the eternal purpose of God which is to be like Jesus.


 9 - Receive salvation VS. Becoming as Christ is


 10 - Born Again to Go to Heaven VS. Born Again to Be Made into the Image of the Son of God

 

 11 - Evangelism VS. Making disciples


 12 - Winning souls VS. Discipling nations


 13 - Invite people to “come to the “church” - come VS. Reach people everywhere - Go


 14 - Be baptized to become a member of the church VS. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned

 

 15 - Church membership VS. The expansion of the Kingdom, making disciples of the Kingdom


 16 - Be a member of the local church VS. Individually be members of each other


 17 - Connected by the help of all the joints in your congregation VS. Connected by the help of all the joints with all the saints.


 18 - Forming leaders exclusively for the church VS. Empowering people to become disciples of the Kingdom in Society


 19 - Bible, seminars, books VS. The Scriptures only


 20 - Traditions, customs, denomination, decision of leaders VS. Only Jesus and His written Word, the Bible (The Word and the Scriptures)


 21 - Planting churches, congregations VS. Making disciples


 22- Building "churches", temples VS. Jesus builds his Church, people


 23 - Church building or empire VS. Jesus Christ and the expansion of the Kingdom


 24 - Internal focus VS. External focus


 25 - The Temple is the House of God VS. The Church (people) is the House of God


 26 - Temple is sacred, it is a place of worship VS. God is Spirit and worshiped anywhere


 27 - The church is the temple, it is the house of God VS. The people are the Church and the temple, this Church is the house of God


 28 - Temple, place of worship VS. The building serves the needy (Isaiah 58)


 29 - Go to the "church" to worship God VS. Life is a constant worship of God


 30 - Going to Church VS. Being the Church


 31 - Serving God in the Church VS. Serving God everywhere which is serving others is the true worship of God


 32 - Marriage, divorce, second marriage VS. Marriage is an alliance, a unique and exclusive union between one man and one woman for life.  Second marriage is a sin.


 33 - Church led by a leader VS. The Church is led by a presbytery.


 34 - Temple VS. Community

 

 35 - Pastors and evangelists (hierarchical and positional) VS. Fivefold ministerial gifts, ministry is service and of all Saints.

 

 36 - Pastors do the work of the ministry VS. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (they are not clerics) equip the saints for the work of the ministry

 

 37 - Clergy and laity VS. No clerics, no laity - all saints are ministers


 38 - Focused on many meetings with church leaders, services VS. Focused on relationships;  fellowship and practice of Koinonia (eating bread together) from house to house.


 39 - Driven by the church VS. Driven by the Kingdom


 40 - Spiritual Gifts for the Church VS. Spiritual Gifts for All Areas of Life

 

 41 - Ministry is only related to the church VS. Ministry affects all aspects of society

 

 42 - Worship is singing and it is spiritual VS. Living and working is worship

 

 43 - Ministers are anointed VS. All the children of God are anointed


 44 - Subject to an individual shepherd VS. Subject to each other and shepherded by many shepherds.


 45 - Pastor of a Congregation VS. Shepherds the entire flock of Christ in the city


 46 - Church, company, franchise VS. Church in each city


 47 - One man leads - show VS. Emphasis on saints, build each other up


 48 - The pastor is the chief, maximum authority, the "vicar" of Christ VS. Believers are submissive to one another and respect the leadership delegated by God


 49 - Ministry for special people VS. The Saints do the work of the ministry


 50 - Churches, congregations and denominations VS. Denomination is a sin.  Church names are iniquities.  One Flock, One Shepherd.


 51 - Becoming a member of a church to form the local church VS. Becoming a member of each other individually forming the Body of Christ


 52 - My congregation VS. The Church in the city.


 53 - Build My ministry VS. Build the Saints


 54 - My sheep and my disciples VS. The sheep belong to Jesus and the disciples belong to Jesus

 

 55 - Denomination VS. Being ONE as God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE.

 

 56 - Micro vision - my church VS Macro vision - my city, my country, the nations of Earth


 57 - All around the church VS. All around the Kingdom


 58 - Church is the meeting of believers in one place VS. Church is the meeting of two or three in Jesus' Name in any place connected to each other in the city

 

 59 – Pastors are professionals of the faith VS. Pastors, evangelists and others are ministers (servants) of Christ.

 

 60 – The Pulpit and the Temple are Sacred VS. The pulpit and the temple are pagan elements.

 

 61 – The Shepherd is the Priest X All the saved are priests and anointed.

 

  62 - Tithes and Offerings - Prosperity VS. Giving cheerfully and generously according to what you propose in your heart to help orphans, widows, the needy and one another

 

 63- Jesus plus something else VS. Jesus is enough

 

 64 - Hybrid of Law and Grace VS. Only Grace

 

  65 - Sanctification is a process VS.  Jesus is our Sanctification

 

  66 - Holiness is acquired VS. Holiness is a gift from God

 

  67 - Saved by grace, justified by works VS.  Saved, justified, sanctified and glorified by grace.


 68 - Renounce everything for Jesus, after, plead Him everything you have renounced VS. Deny yourself, renounce everything, follow Jesus.

 

  69 - Addresses only the soul VS. Body, soul and spirit

 

 70 - Escape Mentality, Rapture VS.  Thy Kingdom come

 

 61 - Apocalypse (Revelation) is an eschatological book X Apocalypse (Revelation) is the book of the victorious Christ and His victorious Church

 

 72-Apocalypse is the book of the end of the world VS.  Apocalypse means the Revelation of Jesus Christ, it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ and His Body, the Church

 

 73 - Jesus will reign 1000 years on Earth VS.  Jesus reigns from eternity and reigns from generation to generation

 

 74 - The Devil will be imprisoned for a thousand years VS. The devil has already been defeated, he is the brave who is imprisoned by the saints.

 

 75-Jesus still does not reign on Earth VS. Jesus reigns now and His children reign with Him.


 76 - Jesus comes to rescue  us VS. Jesus comes to reign completely.

 

 77 - We will be raptured VS. We will be transformed

 

 78 - We will live forever in heaven VS. We will receive the Kingdom prepared before the foundation of the world

 

 79 - We will receive rewards in heaven VS. Jesus is our Reward


 80 - The children of God will give an account of their sins on the great white throne VS. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus


 81 - Israel is God's clock VS. No one knows the day and the hour Jesus will come

 

 82 - There are many signs of the coming of Jesus VS. And ​​the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all people, then the end will come

 

 83 - We live in the last days VS. The last days began with the descent of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem


 84 - Reigning with Christ in the future VS.  Reigning in life now with Christ

 

 85 – The coming of Jesus and the rapture are two different things VS. The coming of Jesus and our reunion with Him closes the whole story, immediately following New Heavens and New Earth.

 

 86 - Intellectual knowledge VS. Revelation through relationship with Jesus and with each other.

 

 87 - Sacred vs Secular - Dualism VS. Everything is pure for the pure


 88 - Influence through spiritual life VS. Influence through service to others, godly leadership, manifesting active faith and good works

 

 89 - Focuses on the spiritual domain VS. Focuses on exercising the domain being a servant, light of the world and salt of the earth.

 

 90 – Christianity is a religion VS. Following Jesus is not a cult, it is not a liturgy, it is not a religion, it is simply living without rituals or dogmas.

 

 91 - Following Jesus is practicing a series of commandments VS. Following Jesus is a relationship with Him and with others

 

 92- Material Blessings VS. Total Prosperity - Beyond finances.

 

 93 - Prosperity through tithes and offerings VS.  Prosperity through work and through investments

 

 94 - Giving, contributing to be blessed (magical) VS. Working to bless yourself and others.  - Sowing and harvesting.

 

 95 - Anathema Gospel of Prosperity VS.  Gospel of the Kingdom that prioritizes generosity, sharing and the well-being of others


 96 - Christian life is devotion to the church VS.  Life with Jesus is service to others.


 97 - Worship service for believers VS. To render worship to God is to serve our brothers and sisters


 98 - Emphasis on priesthood X Royal Priesthood.  Jesus made us Kings and Priests


 99 - Fasting accepted by God is abstinence from food VS. The fasting that God accepts is that you loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, set the oppressed free and break every yoke. It is also to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood. Isaiah‬ ‭58:6-7‬
