THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AND THE CHURCH. Josimar Salum

The Christian Church and the Church

Josimar Salum

In recent years, the Christian church and all its churches have become, much more than before, big companies, big businesses and, even if small, they are still big businesses.

But God is not in these churches.  God is only in the meeting - in the Church - among those who, even within the churches, for some time, gather in one place, in harmony, in the Name of Jesus, the Eternal and Perennial Assembly of God.

In time, the Church as the Eternal and perpetual Assembly of God happens when His children meet in number of at least two or three in the Name of Jesus.  And as they happen simultaneously in millions of places, they are one flock under one Shepherd, both on Earth and in the heavens.

The Church remains the Church in each city: it is the Remnant.

The Church of God is not subject to errors, deviations or doctrinal additions.  She does not deviate, not apostate.  Only individuals deviate from the Truth and apostatize from the Faith.

The Church has never been and is not subject to time.  When the children of God come together, it is always the Holy Church, blameless, without blemish and without wrinkles, the Bride and Wife of the Lamb, the New Jerusalem.

We will go back from now on when it started and it was very simple.  According to the Gospels, according to the New Testament.

Let us return to Jesus and His disciples gathered together somewhere or walking together in the lands of Israel to understand the Church.  The Church is in Jesus.

When Jesus, the Eternal One, wandered through the cities of Israel, the hillsides and the fields, crossed forests, walked through the valleys, visited the banks of the Jordan, drank their waters or bathed in them and walked by the sea preaching the Kingdom through  His Gospel.

When he met John the Baptist, on the banks of the Jordan, the Church manifested itself and there it happened.  In time, the Church happens: it is here, not here anymore;  it is there, and then not, because it has no fixed geographical address.

When Jesus, having the heavens as a ceiling - although he had nowhere to lay his head - slept in the company of the disciples he had chosen, the Church slept, although the Guard of Israel did not sleep.  The real Israel is the Church of God.

Jesus, the disciples and the women who followed Him were the Church.  Everything was very natural, simple as life, not unlike the pilgrims sons of Abraham, who were led by the prophet Moses, the desert congregation.

When Moses and Aaron freed the people of Israel from Pharaoh's empire and dominion, after more than 200 years of slavery in Egypt, they chose in the desert, on the advice of Jethro, 72 men, capable and fearful presbyters of God who HATED THE  AVARITY, to lead all the people throughout their journey through the desert, towards the Promised Land.  And the Rock that followed them was Christ.  They were the Church in the desert.

All human life is like a pilgrim journey through the desert.  Some walk alone, without God in the world.  Others, even without God, walk together.  And many children of God walk side by side.  Others are separated from others by Catholic, evangelical and Protestant pens.  By force and obligation, they still walk away from others, because their leaders do not unite with each other, even though they are all from God.  But it is necessary to follow Christ exclusively so that everything makes sense and works out.
