Would you be a prophet of the judgment or of the grace of God? By Josimar Salum

Would you be a prophet of the judgment or of the grace of God?
Josimar Salum

I see with great apprehension and sadness that many who claim to be disciples of Jesus speak of God's Judgment more enthusiastically than they speak of His grace and love.

They look like Jonah who after being forced to preach repentance put himself in a place to see what would happen to the city of Ninive.

Instead of destroying it, God spared it with His Grace, bringing repentance to over 130,000 precious lives.

“God's judgment will come!  God's judgment will come! , it seems there are more people inclined to share this message than that God, “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭

“And Jonah began to go into the city one day by the way, and preached, and said, Forty days yet, and Nineveh shall be subverted.” Jonah 3: 4.

I do not hope that judgment will come upon this wicked generation.  I pray that God will send His Spirit to save this generation.

Those who root more for judgment than the salvation of God play in the team of Jonah and not of Jesus.

“And the Lord said, You had compassion on the pumpkin, in which you did not work, nor made it grow;  who in one night was born and in one night perished;  and shall I not have compassion on the great city of Nineveh, where there are a hundred and twenty thousand men, which cannot discern between his right hand and his left hand, and many beasts? ”Jonah 4:  10-11
