USA: A Prayer for our Nation

Just sharing:

I could not sleep last night.

I visited after yesterday sunset The Capitol and The Supreme Court buildings with my friend Pastor Marcos Aurelio.

While there I began to feel very anguished and sad for all the unjust facts and actions especially from recent years of our distancing from Godly principles and fundaments. Plus our abandonment of landmarks that made this nation so great.

And the Spirit of Intercession quickened my spirit to pray and intercede for US.

And I did.

My heart is aching. Melt my heart, Lord.

My soul is full of sadness.

Speak into my ears any word of hope for this nation.

Is not Your Blood more powerful than all the bloodshed throughout the history of this country?

What is the value of a drop of the blood of Jesus? He should not shed any drop of blood, not even one!

But our Redeemer let his veins, and flesh, and every cell of His body dry all of His Blood.

Jesus, just one drop of Your Blood can redeem America of all of our sins, from the past, from the present and even from the future.

What about Your Grace, Jesus? "The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more." (Romans 5:20 NASB)

Our Lord Jesus, remember the covenant that the forefathers of this nation have made with You since its founding.

Why, Lord, do you make us wander from Your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere You?

Return for the sake of your servants. We are Your inheritance!

Note:

We came with Pr. Edson Porto to represent our State of Massachusetts through BMNET - Brazilian Ministers Network to participate to The Summons by The National Day of Prayer.
